Being an entrepreneur is exciting but terrifying. It is a journey where the person involved does a thing out of the league and confidently moves toward its goal. There are lots of things which need to be addressed during forming up a company but the right way is not to avoid them but move forward, embrace and face those. It is a path opener but with obstacles. As correctly reflected in the saying- “Success is the path, not the destination”. Success is measured by the courage through which it overcomes the obstacles.

Here are some points which an entrepreneur/startups must keep in mind during its journey. I call it the 5 FDs,the fixed deposits for a startup’s life.

1. Dependency

The only one to be trusted in this corporate world is yourself. Neither friends nor well-wishers are easily going to help you. Relation hold its importance at its place and money at its own.

Remember: TRUST YOURSELF, DEPEND ON YOURSELF.!!

2. Diversify

Don’t even try to miss an opportunity to diversify your knowledge. The more you learn, the more you are able to survive in the market.

Remember: KEEP LEARNING!! THERE IS LOT TO LEARN.!!

3. Discover

Find out the potential in yourself and your team mates. There are many things unknown to oneself. Discover those, create value out of it. Work with integrity and unity, this is when you discover most of the things.

Remember: THIRD PERSON CAN ALSO APPRISE YOU OF YOURSELF.!!

4. Delight

Always be jovial natured, not because you need it but others may need it. A pinch of chafing mixed with candor adds to the productivity. A bit of chaffing cools the environment.

5. Discuss

Having a group discussion with your mates not only helps to deal with the situations but also grooms you and others. Different insights to a particular situation help to take better decisions.

6. Don’t fumble

Don’t take too much of work load, it will reduce your productivity. A person with free mind can give more fruitful and efficient results then in stress. Take out some time for yourself and see the difference.

7. Focus

Don’t lose your focus and be clear of what you are going at. There are lots of distractions out there. Focus adds to quality of your work.

8. Finding faults

Do not always find fault in the situation. These things are done by normal people. You are different. Embrace the problem and come up with the solution. There is a solution, that’s why there is a problem, not the other way around.

9. Formulate

Whatever it may takes, always come up with an idea or principle after a mental effort. It will help you in long run. Properly decided thing males it easier to cope with the situation.

10. Faith

Yes, this is the foremost requirement. Have complete confidence in you devised plans. You are the only one who knows and can extend the plans. Most of the shackles turn out of your path.
